Wanro and Lizani’s happy day was an explosion of tropical foliage with bursts of bright colour. To create their island-style wedding, Katy’s Palace was filled to the brim with lush greenery – from ferns and huge delicious monster plants, to vases filled with leaves in every shape and size. The expansive, light-filled space was the perfect backdrop for a lush urban jungle, with rustic wooden tables and our facebrick walls perfectly offsetting the abundance of fresh flora.
Orchids in shades of bold magenta and pure white broke the palette of green, with tall candelabra throwing a romantic candlelit glow across the space. Walking down an aisle scattered with yellow petals, her hair falling softly over her shoulders (her amazing hair and make-up were done by The Refinery), Lizani was the picture of tropical perfection. And the groom’s bespoke suit from Tailor Me was an effortless complement to her elegant Joss Bridal gown. With delicious catering from By Word of Mouth and music from the Tona Band, this was a dream wedding celebration, straight from the verdant, balmy tropics – but right here in Joburg!
Thank you to Clareece Smit for the beautiful photographs.
